2018 Dane County Alzheimer’s Walk
Envisioners participated in the 20th Dane County Alzheimer’s Walk in Madison, Saturday September 29, 2018. This walk is the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin’s (ADAW) largest annual fundraiser with over 500 walkers this year! Pictured are Envisioners who attended the event; to the far right, Alec Brown, Director of Envision’s Professional Services Organization, shared his motivation, “My grandfather had Alzheimer’s and it’s hard to experience. Projections show more prevalence as our population ages, and so it’s important to support prevention, treatment, and help dealing with the condition.”
ADAW understands that all those with Alzheimer’s or other dementia will need support. They offer personal consolations, education, access to resources, and advocacy. All funds raised stay in Wisconsin to help those effected live the highest quality of life. This includes the person with dementia, the care partner and family, or the caregiver in a professional setting.
