Conscious Capitalism’s CEO Summit 2021 was more meaningful than ever for Envision this year as Conscious Capitalism Inc. (CCI) honored our own, Nancy Pautsch. CCI presented Nancy, Envision’s Chief Evangelist of Stakeholder Value (President), with the first-ever Alfredo Hoyos Mazuera Passionate High Impact Award for practicing and promoting business as a source for good in the world. Alfredo was a well-loved and respected Conscious Leader from Columbia that the Conscious Capitalism (CC) community lost unexpectedly in late 2020. In her brief acceptance speech, Nancy recognized her fellow Executive Team Leaders, Beau Smithback and Bill Crahen, as best friends and critical success factors for Envision elevating humanity with their business. She also expressed gratitude for them along with all Envisioners and the CC community for inspiration and mentorship.
Conscious Capitalism is a movement focused on harnessing the power of capitalism to create a better world for everyone. The CC global community is a group of like-valued organizations dedicated to elevating humanity through business. Annually the executive leaders of these organizations meet-up outside of Austin, Texas for the CEO Summit. CEOs and Presidents that participate in the event are on the Conscious Leadership journey, and this is a time for them to rejuvenate their human connection while they inspire and learn from each other.
This year Nancy was among the CEO Summit speakers discussing the highs and lows of operating a conscious business during the last 1.5 years while navigating the multiple contextual challenges. Additional inspirational speakers included Cynthia “Cynt” Marshall, CEO of the Dallas Mavericks on her path to leadership, Bert Jacobs, Co-founder and CEO of Life is Good on the importance of optimism, Libby Wadle, CEO of J. Crew and Madewell, on sustainability and building a responsible brand, and many more. As spiritual intelligence is increasingly discussed among Conscious Leaders, this group was fully engaged with the wisdom imparted by Gary Zukav and Linda Francis, best-selling authors and co-founders of the Seat of the Soul Institute.
CEO Summit participants left the conference invigorated and with more know-how to lead their conscious businesses. They also savored their human reconnection, with applicable safety protocols and precautions, after the event cancellation in 2020 due to COVID. Many plan to remain virtually connected and energized via the Senior Leader Network (SLN). In 2021 CCI introduced the SLN so leaders could continue their engagement and learnings.
