Earlier this year, Citrix announced the discontinuation of its Virtual Apps Essentials offering with the complete shutdown of the service by May 31, 2024. This service, available through the Azure marketplace, enabled customers to publish applications and hosted shared desktops from Azure workloads. Due to the significant evolution of the Azure platform and Citrix DaaS solution, Citrix is discontinuing Virtual Apps Essentials to streamline its offerings. Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Citrix DaaS Standard for Azure solution, unlocking additional value not available with Virtual Apps Essentials.
